Review of Nolo's Essential Guide to Buying Your First Home

Friday April 27, 2007
Nolo puts out a lot of good legal information geared for the average consumer, and Nolo's Essential Guide to Buying Your First Home is no exception.

When I think back to some of my first home purchases, I realize I made mistakes -- as many home buyers do — errors I might have been able to avoid had I had the slightest inkling of knowledge about what I was doing. You know the adage that it's not what you don't know that's the problem -- it's what you absolutely know for certain that causes problems. Nolo's Essential Guide bridges that gap between what you think you know and what you should know.

Moreover, I learned a few things from reading it. Because no matter how long you've been in the business, and in my case it's been about 33 years, you can't ever stop learning. Far as I'm concerned, the day I stop learning is the day I may as well turn in my license and go farm yaks. So, check out my review and let me know if you read the book. If it's not yet available at your library, you can preorder it before it is published, and I provided a link for purchase in my review. I definitely rate it a 10.
