Garage Trends and Remodels: What's Hot, What's Not
It started out as a two-car garage, but half the garage has turned into a wild jungle of leftover rehab materials and power tools, and the other half is piled high to the rafters with discarded furniture and boxes of real estate files. I can barely squeeze my car in the center. My poor husband is forced to park in the driveway. We are pathetic examples of typical homeowners with under-utilized garages.
It's a good thing we're not in the market to sell our home.
Today's buyers want clean, spotless garages. They are demanding certain amenities. It's not enough to simply have a space in which to park a car. In fact, two-car garages are almost a thing of the past. They're like relics from the Stone Age. Moreover, if a home doesn't have a garage, it's almost like saying the place doesn't have a kitchen.
