Relocation Tips When Buying in a New Area

Just about everybody harbors some sort of fear when dealing with relocation.

When I moved to Sacramento from Minneapolis, I was concerned that the moving truck would arrive in California and the sellers of my new house would not be ready to close escrow. The movers warned if they could not immediately unload when they got here, they would put all my stuff into their storage and charge me $2,500. Trying to cover all my bases, I made the sellers agree to pay that fee if they held up the closing.

Then I gave myself a week to drive out, visit Mt. Rushmore and drop a few bucks in Reno, maybe relax at the Silver Legacy spa.
