Top 10 2008 Real Estate Predictions

Last year at this time, I forecast my top 10 real estate predictions for 2007.

Without tooting my own horn too much, I can report that almost every prediction came true. More single women bought homes than in previous years, prices fell in many areas, counter offers were expected, overpriced homes sat on the market, homes with the best features sold, home stagers found work, agents continued to take overpriced listings, virtual tour activity increased, and tons of listings had price reductions. Yet, whether sellers were more selective when choosing a listing agent remains to be seen.

Some sellers jumped at the chance to hire the first agent who showed up. Which is probably why agents continued to take overpriced listings. It's a never-ending circle of grief.
