Home Staging: Dressing the House

Home staging is nothing new; many sellers for years have been advised by their real estate agents to Stage® their homes, and it's extremely popular in major metropolitan areas such as San Francisco, New York or Chicago.

Hot or cold markets, staging works. But for vacant homes, slow-moving markets or particular price-point categories such as upper-end homes, staging is crucial.

Staging is more than removing clutter. It means bringing in furniture and accessories to glamorize and accentuate the positives of a home, and moving out that which doesn't fit. Oh, you might have spent ten thousand dollars for that armoire you're so fond of, but if the real estate pros say it doesn't belong and detracts from your sale, put it in storage and let the stagers do their job.

Television shows such as HGTV's Design to Sell are filled with excellent staging advice and popping up all over cable TV. If you'd like to get in on the action and figure out how to improve the appearance of your home, why wait for tomorrow? Everybody loves a beautiful home, especially a potential home buyer . . . read more about Home Staging.

HGTV really helped me a lot in redecorating my home. I mean they have like so many ideas and suggestions that you think is impossible. But if you get to try them they seem ok after all. You will be surprise on the wonders it could do to your home.
