I think it's appropriate for sellers to see what they're getting into when they put a home on the market. Reviewing the home selling path helps to set expectations and prepare sellers so they know what happens after an offer is received. Most often the mindset is, "Somebody will make an offer and move in." But even veteran sellers can forget the hurdles that require jumping before their transactions will close.
Many sellers sigh with relief once an offer has been signed. They are relieved that home showings will stop and think they don't have to keep the home spotless anymore. But that's because they haven't thought about the bank's appraiser, the home inspector, other buyer inspections and the buyer's final walk-through.
