Donald Trump is the Face of Real Estate

Monday April 14, 2008
Women, have you ever asked yourself: "Hey, if I were a golddigger, would I marry Donald Trump?"

You know, I wouldn't. Not that I lust after wealth nor view marriage as a way to obtain it, but I do wonder about the attraction some women feel toward men of wealth and power.

Donald Trump is shrewd, and he certainly knows how to leverage real estate, but he's weird looking -- that squirrel mop on his head for starters; it's not like he doesn't know about it -- and he just doesn't come across as a compassionate nor sensitive individual. If he told me I was fired, I'd say "Don't let the door hit you on the you-know-what on the way out."

But that doesn't mean that I don't find him intriguing. Not quite in a Brittany-Spears-train-wreck sort of way, though. More like a study in obsession, drive and ambition. It seems you can't pick up a newspaper nor turn on the TV without finding Donald Trump. He's branded himself into a household name.

There's the flagship Trump Tower in New York, properties in California and Switzerland, casinos and hotels, national best-selling books, television and media holdings, plus his connections to the super rich, which most people find fascinating. But did you know that as a rebel in his youth, Trump was sent to the New York Military Academy to learn how to shape up, fly straight and stop misbehaving? That fact explains a lot . . . read more about Donald Trump.

But before you do that, answer this poll to the right. I'd like to know your opinion. Be honest!
