Bank of America is America's Largest Residential Mortgage Bank

Wednesday May 14, 2008
Where I live in northern California, you can find a Bank of America branch almost every mile or so.

Bank of Americas are almost as ubiquitous as Starbucks. I've been stopped on the street by complete strangers and asked where the nearest branch of Bank of America was located. Which is kind of weird when you think about it, because do I look like a person who knows the address of every bank in town? What's even more weird is I could give them directions, and I don't even do business at Bank of America.

But many of my buyers do. Especially those who work at UC Davis because Bank of America is one of the few lenders in the country that make "doctor loans." At attractive interest rates, too. No wonder, since its deal with Countrywide, Bank of America is now the largest residential mortgage bank in the country . . . read more about Bank of America.
