Reasons to Sell on a Short Sale

Finally, there is one good reason to sell on a short sale.

Don't trust a real estate agent who tells you anything different. Some agents just want to take a listing, to get their name out on a sign and to increase listing inventory. It may have nothing to do with selling your home and be all about the agent increasing business as a result of your misfortune, without ever going into an escrow with you.

Some agents take a lot of short sale listings but never sell any. Put your faith in agents who have a track record. Ask how many of their short sales listings have not sold. Better yet, ask for the number one reason to sell your home on a short sale over letting the bank take it back in foreclosure.
