Great advice, and especially useful for someone like me, who is a property investor.
I also find it useful to maintain a good relationship with the vendor, so that you can call whenever, without any feeling of awkwardness, and query any problems/delays at their end.
The same goes for your mortgage broker and solicitor, keep a good relationship and always be honest, query everything, and get documents back to them as soon as possible.
