I had the same situation a few years ago, I used to put on a huge production on Halloween, it was my favorite holiday. I went through a divorce and lost all interest in doing it. In our area it is an unwritten code that if the front porch light isn’t on, you aren’t home or aren’t participating. I know it probably varies throughout the country but if you can watch TV in a dark room out of view from the front of your house you usually will not have a problem. Oh by the way if you have pumpkin thieves, dripping honey on the outside of the pumpkin is a great way of training the neighborhood kids!
Honey on the pumpkins? Hey, that’s an excellent idea, Eric. Plus, it will clean up off the slate porch better than olive oil!!
