Some Home Buyers Believe Agents Work for Free

When home buyers go out to look at homes with their buyer's agents, every single buyer's agent expects to get paid.

Yet I know that some home buyers don't understand how a buyer's agent works. I suspect those buyers think agents operate in a manner similar to sales clerks in a department store -- that the department stores pay the clerks to assist customers and, if the customer buys that Eileen Fisher garment, the employee gets a bonus.

I mean, you don't feel guilty if a sales clerk brings you 10 outfits to try on in the dressing room and none of them fit right. You just shrug your shoulders and go to Macy's or Nordstrom. But that's not how it works in real estate . . . read more about Buyer's Agents.
