Before you choose a listing agent who ends up disappointing you, consider criteria for finding the best listing agent you can.

Because all agents are not the same. You can't expect an agent to simply plop your home into MLS and let it miraculously sell itself. Especially not in buyer's markets.

I receive daily SOS e-mails from distraught sellers begging me to tell them how they can legally get rid of their no-good agent. There are good agents and bad agents. It helps to hire a good agent from the beginning so you don't end up feeling used and abused.
