Should Your Agent Tell You How Much to Offer for a Home?

Many home buyers rely on their agent's advice, and expecting a buyer's agent to pick a home offer price is a crucial expectation of most home buyers.

Sometimes, I have a very strong feeling what the sellers may accept. That's because I've already spoken to the listing agent, probed for seller motivation, asked about other offers and run the comparable sales.

I check out the listing agent's performance as well. For example, if the listing agent hasn't sold very many homes, it is entirely possible that listing agent might be very motivated to move the property.

Moreover, buyers generally base a sales price on the homes that are available for sale, which doesn't necessarily indicate the prices of the homes that are selling . . . read more about Home Offer Price.

Very True Elizabeth. After you sell enough homes you will realize that if you probe for the right information from the listing agent and listen to your buyers, that you can procure an offer that will make everybody happy and get the deal done.

Happy Selling!
