Making the Most From Staging the Bath

The minimum any seller should when do staging the bath is to get rid of the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the tub or shower.

Nobody wants to look at your half-used bottles or rusty shaver. Because one of the main goals to home staging is to depersonalize the home, to make it look like nobody lives there. Ideally, you want buyers to imagine themselves living in the home, and they can't do that if they see your stuff.

Some sellers use the bathtub as secret storage. I've seen sellers cram all of their children's toys in the tub, like it's some giant toy box. Others, believe it or not, keep their cat litter box in the shower. Few people want to be confronted with the harsh realities of a bath and its original purpose. Ideally, you want to move people's minds away from that purpose. It's much better to stage the bath like a spa.
