Building a Log Home in the Woods

It's a romantic nature that makes people equate building log homes with a pioneer spirit.

You've got to hand it to those American pioneers who, equipped with nothing more than an ax, could chop down trees and build a log home. I can't even a build a log home out of Pick Up Sticks. A friend of mine in Texas built a log home in the woods. Right outside of Dallas. It took him more than nine months to build it. He ordered the log home in a box and put it together on a few acres of land, surrounded by pine trees.
